Build the Engine. Do Work. Be Rad.
Most people treat fitness like a project—something to fix for the summer or squeeze in between excuses. They chase hacks and shortcuts, looking for a way around the friction.
That’s not what we do here.
Iron and Execution Blog—an extension of Brother Arms Coaching—comes down to three plain principles: build the engine, do work, be rad.
Build the Engine means mastering the fundamentals. It’s the iron, the barbell, and the unsexy, heavy reps required to forge real physical strength, resilience, and grit. You can’t fake gravity, and you can’t bypass the foundation.
Do Work is how that discipline shows up every single day. It’s showing up when you’re tired, running your business, and keeping the promises you made to yourself. It’s the execution in the gym, in your daily grind, and in how you handle responsibility.
But if all you do is lift weights, you’re missing the point. That’s where Be Rad comes in.
There is a whole life outside the weightroom, and the strength you build under the bar is only valuable if it fuels the rest of it. It’s being a present father, coaching your kid’s ball team, building a community that has your back, and actually enjoying the ride with the people you love. Discipline in the gym translates directly to family leadership, but joy and balance aren’t a distraction from the work—they’re the reason you do it.
The bar is loaded. Build your engine. Do the work. Be rad.
